As an avid traveler from the busy state of New York, I sought a peaceful retreat in the Scottish countryside and found it at Clachan Farmhouse B&B near Ullapool. the charming farmhouse is surrounded by lush green pastures where sheep peacefully graze, and Border Collies playfully roam. Marie, the delightful host, welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home. Our twin room was cozy and thoughtfully decorated, boasting a fireplace and a private entrance that allowed us to soak in the serene atmosphere. the free WiFi kept us connected to loved ones back home, while the electric blankets ensured a snug night's sleep. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious continental breakfast prepared by Marie herself. Her homemade raspberry jam was a standout, and the view of the sheep-dotted fields made our meal even more enjoyable. After breakfast, we embarked on scenic hikes and enjoyed fishing in the nearby loch, soaking in the beauty of the Scottish Highlands.
